Symphonic black metal.

That is, indeed, one of the most awesome types of metal. That is according to my ears and brain. Met a random guy on IMVU today and started talking about bands, where he told me about Carach Angren, a band I've never heard of before. Well, as he said symphonic black metal I knew I had to check them out, and I'm glad I did!

iFrames.

I'm at home as usual, and I still can't believe it's one o'clock in the afternoon. I got up early today, at eight, because it was too hot to fall asleep. So, to keep boredom out of my room I've been trying to experiment with my homepage on IMVU. So, yeah, iFrames. I'm not sure you know what this is, but let me give you examples of iFrame layouts.

Fascinating, huh? I'm not a developer/creator on IMVU, so I don't need as much pages as those above do (they're all developers). I just thought of something simple, enough to explain about me, so, here it is:

New room color.

When I came to Philippines, I was that little girl who only thought of pink, pink and pink. So, what happened was that the walls of my room was painted pink and the floor was covered with pink tiles, not attractive, huh?

Ah, well, I regret it today. I still try to keep guests out of my room, haha. But my mom came in last night and said, "When are we going to paint your room again?" As usual, I shrugged and then the old thoughts came back to me. I have been thinking a lot about what color I should get for my room, and yes, you could pretty much guess these colors...

Almost school ready.

I'm finally enrolled at the same school like last year, and I'm actually ready to go back to school again, that's what I want. I'm getting crazy at here at home.

It's weird, I'm finally a senior. It's funny because I felt like I was a freshman... yesterday or something. I can't believe how fast time goes. It's just so amazing. A blink of an eye and I'll be in college, if I go. Anyway, I've got my books ready, and wow, still many of them. There are about ten books or so, and no, I'm not going to bring them all at once, no matter what. I never actually use them when I study, well, I never really study. But I never know, senior year is the hardest level so, I just might make miracles.

And since this level is the most complicated, 'stressy', hard, etc., I decided I won't belong to anything that could possibly eat my time. What do I mean? Something like making the school magazine. I do never want to be the 'Layout Artist' ever again. It's too much work for me, and at the end I just want to throw it away because I have to repeat, repeat, repeat and repeat the whole thing, and that's discouraging! As we went to buy the books last Tuesday we got a copy of the latest school magazine, I wasn't surprised. I don't know what they've done to the cover.

The contents aren't so impressive either. I did what they asked and still they changed it... fine. I just won't volunteer to help out this coming school year. One more thing, I'm glad I stayed in shape this summer, I usually go up in weight every darn summer. Well, I do a lot of Zumba with my sister lately, so it's going well. I just need to stop sleeping late, but it fails everytime.

FASTER!

You think I've gotten over Epica yet? NOPE! This will go a long way, since they're maybe recording their next album for 2012. Hehe, but that's still some time away, so I've been enjoying their albums. Oh, and Within Temptation has released their latest album (last March), The Unforgiving. Well, what do I think about their songs? Well, not all are the best, for me, but I still love their song Faster. ;)

We're all going to die this Saturday.

Me and my sister were surfing the internet sometime in April, and we were checking out some crazy stuffs that you see on Damn! LOL, Oddee, and sites like that. You know, just for entertainment.

Then we came across a little article named something like, "May 21: The end of the world" or something similar, so we were extremely curious and checked it out.Yup, May 21, said to be the judgment day and the end of the world, so, yup. We're going to DIE!... THIS SATURDAY! WAAAH.

Facebook Profile.

Haha, I don't know where I saw it, but I'm just stating this was not my idea. I found something like this somewhere, so I decided to try it out for myself... so that I could possibly be the first between my friends. :3

Myeah, with all the stories going on about deaths and all these weird things, I do have problems sharing my facebook profile with... anyone/strangers. I must say with all the information thingies that has been told here on my blog, it's pretty easy to find my facebook profile... But look how it looks like! I like it. ;)

Epica.

My mind is filled with so many Epica tunes right now. Well, yes, I've been so addicted to Epica lately. I really love Simone Simon's voice! By that I won't deny that I try to sing like her. I don't know if that is a success, but whatever. One song? Mother of Light! It's old, but I just really got familiar with most of their songs these days, so I must say, this is a good one! No, what am I saying? A GREAT ONE! ♥ (And yes, I just HAD to share this one, even if no one clicks the play button anyway.)

Session twelve.

So farewell to A.Salonga, I'm done with my drum lessons. But I've got to say, I've really had much fun with my instructor Vincent. He's indeed a great teacher! I've got to learn a great deal of things, I just have to get used with them, so, self training from now on Christin! I hope I'm active enough to kick my own butt and get myself to play. If not, I WILL regret it, you're not going to become a good drummer by that. <.<"

So, he taught me a chacha groove, and, I GOT IT! It wasn't the hardest thing at all, not after all these time. Have I tried that at my first session I wouldn't be able to play it... in maybe three days. Nah, I'm just trying to say I know I have improved! If not I'm a major fail. But I have so I am not a fail. :3

My instructor taught me some really badass-looking fills, and, well, I can't say they looked easy. If you looked at his face you could know he was not having an easy moment. HA, I'm going to practice not to make faces when playing drums (even if it is really hard/fast) so that when people look at me, they'll just be like, "Oh, it looks easy!" MUHAHA, and when they try it themselves, they're going to cry for realizing it is harder than tripping on the floor... on purpose.

Nah, good luck to me! From now on I'll be making my own journey... with glittery orange-gold drums! ♥

Sessions nine, ten, and eleven.

Well, I don't feel like separating the three sessions into three posts. It's getting harder, but the harder, the better I become. So, basically, we were 'reviewing (or what other terms you would like to put there)' the sixteenth note beat on the hihats and eighth note beat on the bass drum? Something like that, it's better to play than to explain it, I suppose.

My instructor taught me some new fills, flams (?), and new fills... heh. He told me he had to give me copies so that I could practice them myself, because well, today is the last session. I can't believe it has gone so fast. I was just at session one! o.o"

Nah, I should've rather given you guys a video blog about it rather than having to explain. Don't worry, I know I will, but not today. >:D

Shih Tzu.

Yes, my sister and my mom bought a puppy today, a male Shih Tzu. They had wanted one since we saw one in the pet shop last Thursday. My sister and mom fell hardly in love with the Shih Tzu puppies they saw there, and I can't deny I found them adorable too.

Sadly, my mom thought they were way too expensive in the pet shop, so she told my sister to look through the internet, and my sister found a guy who sold Shih Tzus (I have no idea what the plural form of Shih Tzu is by the way). We went there earlier today, picked up the little Shih Tzu they wanted and went home. Oh, yeah, and the name of the new puppy? It was named by my sister, I was sort of 'surprised' by what she named it. Or, I have known since yesterday, but still, I thought she was just joking.

So, yeah, the Shih Tzu's name is Charlie, so welcome to the family. Bahaha, it's her puppy anyway, I have my cat Twinkle Toes still. I'm more of a cat-person than a dog-person. But no, I'm not saying I don't like the new puppy, it is cute indeed. Anyway, how's Twinkle Toes so far?

Well, I suppose I passed my laziness to this poor cat. BUT, I like the way he sleeps here. HAHA!

Session eight.

Well, complicated! I'm so good I forgot the beat of that 'groove' my instructor taught me. My foot wouldn't cooperate as much, but that was only on the start. I got in the end, just in the end, when the session was about to end. :/

But no, I'm not saying it's so hard I'm giving up, I'm actually enjoying the challenge! At least it wouldn't be so boring. :D

Session seven.

Okay, I forgot to write about this last Friday. Anyway...

We started practicing new grooves which were a little more complicated than the 'pocket' grooves. Things are getting a little harder, and tomorrow (session eight), I'll be starting to play by ear. I'm not sure if I am good at that, but you know, it can't be the hardest thing on Earth, so I guess I can. I don't know, I just haven't tried playing by ear yet. I should have tried before anything else. :/

Anyway, it's getting more challenging. Let's see what happens on the eighth session then.
